Phosphate Ore Production Line and Process Solution

I. Phosphorus ore dressing process overview

Phosphorus production line beneficiation process needs to choose the appropriate method according to the characteristics of the ore, the main process includes flotation, scrubbing desliming, gravity separation and so on. Among them, the flotation process is the most widely used, according to the difference in mineral composition can be used in direct flotation, reverse flotation, positive and negative flotation and double reverse flotation and other different phosphorus ore dressing process route.

Second, the main process

1. positive flotation process

Applicable o res: low-grade phosphate rock (magmatic apatite, sedimentary metamorphic phosphorite)
Process characteristics:

  • Inhibitors inhibit the chalcopyrite minerals

  • Collector enrichment of phosphorus minerals

  • Suitable for raw ore with P₂O₅ grade 15-25%.

2. Reverse flotation process

Applicable o res: phosphorite and dolomite coeval ores
Process characteristics:

  • Weakly alkaline medium conditions

  • Fatty acid trap flotation of dolomite

  • Phosphorus minerals are retained in the tank

  • Normal temperature flotation can be realized

3. Double reverse flotation process

Applicable o res: silica-calcium colloidal phosphorites
Process characteristics:

  • Step-by-step flotation under alkaline condition

  • Flotation of dolomite and then silicate

  • Normal temperature flotation, energy saving and consumption reduction

  • Concentrate grade can be upgraded to more than 30%.

Typical phosphate production line configuration

1. Crushing system

  • Coarse crushing: jaw crusher

  • Medium and fine crushing: cone crusher

  • Screening: vibrating screen (closed circuit configuration)

2. Grinding and Classifying System

  • One-stage grinding: ball mill + spiral classifier

  • Second stage grinding: ball mill + cyclone set

3. Flotation system

  • Roughing: 4-6 tanks flotation machine

  • Concentrating: 3-4 times of concentrating operation

  • Sweeping: 2-3 sweeping operations

4. Dewatering system

  • Concentration: High efficiency thickener

  • Filtration: Ceramic filter

  • Drying: rotary drying kiln (optional)
