Heavy Duty Slurry Pump

The Slurry Pump is the heart of any wet processing plant. Designed to handle abrasive, high-density slurries, it transports material between Ball Mills, Cyclones, and Thickeners.

We offer Horizontal (AH/M/HH) and Submersible (ZJQ) series with wear-resistant metal or rubber liners, ensuring long life in harsh mining environments.

Working Principle: Centrifugal Transport

Converting motor energy into kinetic energy to move heavy slurry.

01

Suction

Slurry enters the pump inlet axially. The rotating impeller creates a vacuum, drawing the fluid into the pump casing.

02

Acceleration

The vanes of the high-chrome alloy or rubber impeller spin the slurry, imparting high velocity and centrifugal force to the particles.

03

Discharge

The slurry is thrown outwards into the volute casing, where velocity is converted into pressure, forcing the slurry out through the discharge pipe.

Horizontal Slurry Pump Structure

Technical Choice: Horizontal (AH) vs. Submersible (ZJQ)

Which pump fits your installation?

Feature Horizontal (AH/M) Submersible (ZJQ)
Installation Dry (Next to tank). Wet (Under water).
Seal Water Required (Gland seal). Not Required.
Maintenance Easy Access. Must lift out of water.
Application Process Plant, Cyclones. Sumps, Ponds, Dredging.

Core Advantages

1. Wear Resistant Liners

Available with High Chrome Alloy (A05) for coarse sharp rocks or Natural Rubber for fine corrosive slurry. Liners are replaceable to extend casing life.

2. Heavy Duty Bearings

Large diameter shafts and short overhang minimize deflection and vibration. Heavy-duty roller bearings can withstand high radial loads.

3. Flexible Drive

Can be driven by Belt (CV/CR/ZV/CL) or Direct Coupling (DC). This allows easy adjustment of pump speed to match the required head and flow.

Submersible Slurry Pump Application

Typical Applications

  • ● Mill Discharge:
Pumping coarse slurry from Ball Mill to Hydrocyclone for classification.
  • ● Tailings Disposal:
Pumping high-pressure slurry to the tailings dam or Thickener.
  • ● Filter Press Feed:
High-head pumps to feed the Filter Press for dewatering.
  • ● Sump Cleaning:
Submersible pumps (ZJQ) are used to clean spillage sumps and drainage pits.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: Metal vs. Rubber Liner: Which to choose?

A: Choose Metal (A05) for coarse, sharp particles (e.g., ball mill discharge). Choose Rubber for fine particles (<10mm) and corrosive slurry (e.g., tailings, gold CIL).

Q: What is the max density it can handle?

A: AH series pumps can handle slurry concentrations up to 60% by weight (Cw), provided the viscosity is manageable.

Q: Do I need seal water?

A: For horizontal pumps with Packing Seal or Mechanical Seal, clean seal water is required to cool and flush the shaft. If water is scarce, use an Expeller Seal (but inlet pressure is limited).
