Bauxite Production Line Solution offers customized processes for different Bauxite types (Gibbsite, Boehmite, Diaspore).
Our solution integrates "Washing - Classification - Flotation - Magnetic Separation". It increases the Aluminum-Silicon Ratio (A/S) by 2-5 times and achieves a concentrate grade of Al₂O₃ ≥ 50% for the aluminum industry.
Bauxite Beneficiation is the process of removing impurities (Silica, Iron, Titanium) from Bauxite ore to meet the requirements of the Bayer Process. The core challenge is Desilication (removing silica). Common methods include Washing (for clay removal) and Flotation (for separating silica minerals).

Suitable for ores with high clay content. The goal is to wash away the clay (which contains high silica).
The standard solution for difficult-to-process High-Silica Bauxite.
Used when iron content is too high for refractory applications.

| Bauxite Type | Main Impurity | Recommended Process |
|---|---|---|
| Gibbsite (Trihydrate) | Kaolinite Clay (Soft) | Washing + Screening. Simple and low cost. |
| Diaspore (Monohydrate) | Silica (Hard) | Grinding + Flotation. Desilication is key. |
| Ferruginous Bauxite | Iron Oxides | Magnetic Separation. Iron removal. |
| System | Main Equipment | Performance |
|---|---|---|
| Washing | Rotary Scrubber | High capacity (300t/h). |
| Classification | Hydrocyclone Group | Efficiency ≥85%. |
| Flotation | Flotation Machine | Large tank volume (16m³). |
| Magnetic Sep | Vertical Ring Magnetic Separator | 1.2T Background Field. |
| Dewatering | Deep Cone Thickener | High underflow density. |
This project utilized our innovative Two-stage Grinding and Flotation process.
A: The A/S ratio determines the quality of Bauxite. A higher ratio means less silica, which consumes expensive caustic soda during the Bayer process. Beneficiation aims to raise the A/S ratio to >7 or >10.
A: Use Washing if your silica is mainly in soft clay (Kaolinite) that can be washed away. Use Flotation if the silica is in hard minerals (Quartz) or finely disseminated, requiring grinding to liberate.
A: Yes. By using Reverse Flotation desilication, we can upgrade low-grade ores to usable concentrates (Al₂O₃ > 50%), making previously uneconomic deposits viable.
We customize the solution based on your ore type (Gibbsite/Diaspore) and A/S ratio.
