Electromagnetic Vibrating Feeder (GZ Series)

The GZ Series Electromagnetic Vibrating Feeder is a high-precision feeding device used to transfer granular and powdery materials uniformly from storage bins to receiving equipment.

It features Stepless Flow Regulation and instant start/stop, making it ideal for quantitative dosing in Chemical, Food, and Mining batching systems.

Working Principle: Electromagnetic Resonance

High-frequency micro-vibration driven by electromagnetic pulse.

01

Electromagnetic Pulse

The control box sends a half-wave rectified current to the coil. This creates a pulsating magnetic force that attracts the armature and trough backward.

02

Spring Return

When the current is off (negative half-cycle), the plate springs store energy and push the trough forward and upward violently.

03

Material Flow

This high-frequency vibration (3000 times/min) makes the material "jump" forward continuously in a parabolic path along the trough.

Electromagnetic Feeder Structure

Technical Choice: Electromagnetic vs. Motor Vibration Feeder

Which vibrating feeder is right for you?

Feature Electromagnetic (GZ) Motor Vibration (GZD)
Adjustment Stepless (Instant). Mechanical (Stop to adjust).
Lubrication None (Zero oil). Grease required.
Material Small Granules & Powder. Large Rocks & Lumps.
Power Very Low. Medium to High.

Core Advantages

1. Precise Control

By rotating the knob on the control box (Thyristor), you can adjust the feed rate from 0 to 100% instantly while the machine is running.

2. Zero Maintenance

No rotating parts (gears, bearings, rollers). No lubrication needed. It is clean and ideal for food or chemical industries.

3. Low Power

It operates near resonance state, consuming very little electricity. The smallest model (GZ1) consumes only 0.06 kW.

Typical Applications

  • ● Batching System:
Automatic weighing and dosing of additives in Cement, Glass, and Chemical plants.
  • ● Grinding Circuit:
Feeding small crushed ore (< 20mm) to the Ball Mill evenly.
  • ● Food Industry:
Handling grain, flour, or milk powder (Stainless steel trough recommended).
  • ● Lab Testing:
Small models (GZ1-GZ3) are perfect for laboratory sampling and feeding.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: Can it feed sticky material?

A: No. Electromagnetic feeders rely on high-frequency jumping. Sticky or wet material (like clay) will stick to the trough and stop moving. For sticky material, use a Belt Feeder or Disc Feeder.

Q: How do I install it?

A: It must be installed with a 10° downward slope for maximum capacity. If installed horizontally, capacity drops by 30%. It can be suspended or base-mounted.

Q: Is the control box included?

A: Yes, every GZ feeder comes with a matching Control Box with a knob for flow adjustment. It needs 220V single-phase or 380V power supply (depending on model).
