Quartz Sand Production Line Solution is designed to produce high-purity silica sand for Glass, PV (Photovoltaic), and Ceramic industries.
Our solution utilizes a "Physical Sorting + Chemical Treatment" route. By removing Iron, Aluminum, and Mica impurities, we achieve commercial grades with SiO₂ ≥ 99.9% and Fe₂O₃ ≤ 0.001%.
Quartz Sand Beneficiation is the purification of silica sand. The goal is to maximize SiO₂ content while minimizing impurities like Iron (which colors glass) and Aluminum (which affects melting). Common methods include Scrubbing (surface cleaning), Magnetic Separation (iron removal), Flotation (mica/feldspar removal), and Acid Leaching (deep purification).

Suitable for producing flat glass, container glass, etc.

Suitable for low-iron Photovoltaic (Solar) glass sand.

| Product Grade | Iron Limit (Fe₂O₃) | Required Process |
|---|---|---|
| Common Glass | ≤ 0.02% | Scrubbing + Magnetic Separation. |
| Float Glass | ≤ 0.01% | Scrubbing + High Gradient Magnetic + Gravity. |
| PV (Solar) Glass | ≤ 0.006% (60 ppm) | Magnetic + Flotation + Acid Leaching. |
| High Purity (4N) | ≤ 0.0001% (1 ppm) | Deep Acid Leaching + Calcination + Chlorination. |
| System | Main Equipment | Function |
|---|---|---|
| Scrubbing | Rod Mill Scrubber | Removes iron film. |
| Classification | Spiral Classifier / Hydrocyclone | Desliming and sizing. |
| Magnetic Sep | High Gradient Magnetic Separator | Removes Hematite/Biotite. |
| Flotation | Flotation Machine | Removes Feldspar/Mica. |
| Acid Leaching | Acid Leaching Reactor | Dissolves trace impurities. |
Using our Flotation + Acid Leaching process for solar panel glass.

A: Quartz grains are often coated with a thin film of iron oxide or clay. Rod Mill Scrubbing uses friction between particles to mechanically rub off this film, which is essential for reducing iron content.
A: Separation is done by Flotation. We use HF (Hydrofluoric Acid) or HF-free reagents under acidic conditions to float Feldspar while depressing Quartz.
A: Yes, if managed correctly. We provide closed-loop Acid Leaching Systems with acid mist towers and neutralization tanks to ensure zero harmful discharge and high acid recovery.
We customize the solution based on your final product (Glass/PV/Ceramic) and impurity analysis.
