Oil-cooled Electromagnetic Slurry Magnetic Separator

The Oil-cooled Electromagnetic Slurry Magnetic Separator is an advanced High Gradient Magnetic Separator (HGMS) designed for purifying non-metallic mineral slurries. It uses a Water-Oil Dual Cooling system to maintain a stable, high-intensity magnetic field.

With a magnetic field up to 2.0 Tesla (20000 Gauss), it effectively removes fine weak magnetic impurities (like mica, hematite) from Quartz, Feldspar, and Kaolin, significantly increasing whiteness.

Working Principle: High Gradient Capture

Using a magnetic matrix to capture micron-sized iron particles from the flow.

Excitation

The coil is energized to create a powerful magnetic field. The oil circulation system cools the coil, preventing heat buildup and magnetic decay.

Adsorption

Slurry flows through the magnetic matrix (stainless steel wool/mesh). The matrix amplifies the gradient, capturing tiny magnetic impurities.

Flushing

Periodically, the feed stops. The magnetic field is turned off, and high-pressure water flushes the trapped impurities out into the waste tank.

A: The cleaning cycle is fully automatic. Depending on the impurity content, the flushing cycle can be set between 10 to 30 minutes via the PLC control panel.

Q: What is the oil change interval?

A: The cooling oil (Transformer Oil) works in a closed circuit. It typically needs to be checked annually and replaced every 2-3 years depending on operating conditions.

Q: Can it remove strong magnetic iron?

A: It can, but the matrix will block quickly. We strongly recommend installing a standard CTB Magnetic Separator (Low Intensity) before this machine to remove strong iron first.
