Bucket Elevator (Vertical Hoist)

The Bucket Elevator is the most efficient equipment for Vertical Lifting of bulk materials. It transports crushed ore, sand, coal, and cement from a low level to a high level (up to 40m) in a continuous stream.

With a fully enclosed housing, it ensures dust-free operation, making it ideal for feeding Storage Bins, Silos, and process equipment in mining and chemical plants.

Working Principle: Scooping & Lifting

A continuous loop of buckets lifting material against gravity.

Scooping

Material is fed into the bottom boot. The buckets scoop up the material as they pass around the tail pulley/sprocket. This "inflow feeding" minimizes crushing.

Lifting

The belt or chain carries the filled buckets vertically to the top head section. The enclosed casing prevents any spillage or dust escape.

Discharge

At the top head pulley, centrifugal force or gravity throws the material out of the buckets into the discharge chute, completing the cycle.

Q: Belt or Chain: Which should I choose?

A: For light, dry powder (grain, cement powder) and lift height < 30m, choose Belt (TD). For heavy, abrasive, or hot material (ore, clinker) and height > 30m, choose Chain (TH/NE).

Q: How do I prevent bucket jamming?

A: Ensure uniform feeding (use a feeder). Do not feed larger lumps than the bucket capacity allows. The NE series (Plate Chain) uses "inflow feeding" which prevents jamming better than dredging feeding.

Q: Is it difficult to maintain?

A: Maintenance is minimal. Regularly check the belt/chain tension and lubricate the head/tail bearings. The casing has inspection doors for easy access.
