OreSolution's Ball Mill is the core equipment for material regrinding. It utilizes a rotating cylinder and grinding media (steel balls) to crush and grind materials.
Capable of both Dry and Wet Grinding, our mills are widely used in Mining (Gold, Copper, Iron), Cement, Chemicals, and Building Materials. We offer optimized cylinder structures and high-performance liners to ensure stable operation and uniform product fineness.
The grinding process typically involves two distinct stages inside the cylinder:
Crushed ore (≤25mm) from the Jaw Crusher enters the First Chamber. Large steel balls drop to crush coarse rocks via impact force.
Material moves to the Second Chamber. Smaller steel balls roll against the liner, creating attrition force to grind material into fine powder.
Ground slurry flows into the Hydrocyclone or Spiral Classifier for size classification.

| Feature | Grid Type (Grate) | Overflow Type |
|---|---|---|
| Discharge Structure | Has a Grate Plate (Low level). | Hollow Shaft (High level). |
| Application | Coarse Grinding (Primary stage). | Fine Grinding (Regrinding). |
| Capacity | ~15% Higher. | Lower, but better for fine separation. |
Heavy-duty cylinder design ensures smooth operation. Equipped with High Manganese Steel or Rubber Liners for long service life.
Optimized transmission system and rolling bearings reduce energy consumption. High grinding efficiency with low power cost.
Suitable for both Dry and Wet processes. Uniform product fineness is controllable to meet different industrial needs.

A: Wet Ball Mill is used for most mineral processing (Gold, Copper) as it allows for higher capacity and no dust. Dry Ball Mill is used when the material must remain dry (e.g., Cement, some chemical powders) or water is scarce.
A: It depends on the ore hardness. Generally, High Manganese Steel liners last 6-10 months. Rubber liners can last 1.5-2 times longer in fine grinding stages.
A: We recommend a mixed ball loading ratio (e.g., 100mm, 80mm, 60mm). Our engineers will calculate the precise Ball Loading Ratio based on your material analysis.
