This program provides professional solutions for galena ore beneficiation processing for galena ores with different embedded characteristics. According to the embedded particle size characteristics of galena, gravity separation or flotation process is adopted to achieve efficient recovery of lead concentrate, maximize resource utilization and reduce production costs.
Characteristics of galena (PbS):
Specific gravity: 7.4-7.6g/cm³, with obvious specific gravity difference with veinstone.
Embedding characteristics:
Coarse-grained embedded: galena crystal size coarse, and vein stone boundaries obvious
Fine-grained embeddedness: galena is dispersed in fine grain size, and closely coexists with the veinstone.
Fragility: lead minerals are fragile, avoid over-crushing.
Coarse embedded galena gravity beneficiation process flow
The raw ore is firstly crushed by jaw crusher, and the crushed material enters into circular vibrating screen for screening and grading. The qualified size of the screened material goes directly to the next process, and the unqualified material returns to the second crusher to continue to be finely crushed. The finely crushed materials return to the vibrating screen for screening again, forming a closed loop. The material which reaches the requirement of particle size enters the rod mill for rough grinding, and the roughly ground material is sent to the jig machine for gravity separation, and finally obtains the lead concentrate and tailings.
Fine-grained embedded galena flotation process flow
After crushing, the raw ore enters the ball mill for fine grinding, so that the minerals are fully dissociated. After grinding, the slurry enters the flotation system, and the galena is separated from the veinstone by adding flotation chemicals. After flotation, the concentrate is thickened and dewatered, and finally lead concentrate is obtained.
Features of the process
Energy saving and environmental protection: no chemical additives, no pollution to the environment.
Investment saving: equipment investment is 40-50% lower than that of flotation method.
Low operation cost: low energy consumption, simple maintenance, economic operation cost.
