This program is aimed at the early local method of roasting zinc oxide minerals produced by the historical accumulation of waste slag (zinc kiln slag). Due to the backward smelting technology at that time, there is still a considerable content of metal lead (Pb) particles (usually ≥ 1%) left in such slag. Recovering these valuable metals not only creates significant economic benefits, but is also an effective way to resolve historical solid waste stockpiles and eliminate environmental risks.
This solution adopts purely physical methods, focusing on the efficient recovery of metallic lead from zinc kiln slag, realizing "turning waste into treasure".
Aiming at the state of metal lead in zinc kiln slag (usually encapsulated or associated with waste slag), we adopt the mature "crushing - grinding - gravity separation" core process route. This process is designed for efficient recovery of metallic lead through the combination of multi-stage gravity separation equipment, which is environmentally friendly and low cost.
1. Pre-treatment Stage: Crushing and Grinding
Purpose: Through crushing and grinding operations, the metal lead particles in the zinc kiln slag are fully dissociated from the slag matrix, which is the prerequisite for realizing efficient separation.
Core equipment and process:
Crusher (e.g., jaw crusher): crushing the large raw slag to smaller particle size (e.g., -30mm) in preparation for grinding.
Rod mill: grinds the crushed material. The selective grinding effect of rod mill can better protect the dissociated metal lead particles from being over-crushed, and at the same time make the congeners further dissociated.
2. Core sorting stage: gravity sorting
Principle: Utilizing the huge specific gravity difference between metallic lead (specific gravity 11.3) and silicate pulsate waste residue (specific gravity about 2.5-3.0), different gravity sorting equipments are used for classification and recovery.
Core equipment and process:
Jigger: as the core equipment of roughing and sweeping, it treats wide grade materials after grinding, and recovers medium and coarse-grained metallic lead with high efficiency and large processing capacity.
Shaking table: as the selecting equipment, it handles the middle or fine-grained materials of jigging, and utilizes its high-precision sorting characteristics to further enrich and recover the micro-fine-grained metallic lead, and improve the overall recovery rate and concentrate grade.
Technical Advantage:
Efficient classification and recovery: The combination process of "jigging - shaking table" realizes accurate capture of lead particles of different grain sizes, and the recovery rate is extremely high, up to more than 95%.
Environmental protection: using water as the medium, without adding any chemicals, no chemical pollution.
Economy: The investment and operation cost of equipment is much lower than that of flotation and other chemical methods.
3. Product Dewatering
The lead concentrate and tailings produced by gravity separation enter the dewatering screen (such as high-frequency linear vibrating screen) for dewatering respectively, and get dry, high-grade metal lead products (which can be sold directly) and clean tailings.
Small investment, low cost: the complete set of production line equipment for 500 tons per day can be invested in a controllable way, with extremely low cost per ton processed and high return on investment.
Mature technology, good recycling effect: program process stability, lead recovery rate of up to 95% or more, the economic benefits are extremely significant.
Environmental protection and non-pollution: the whole process is recycled water operation, no wastewater discharge, no added chemicals, no secondary pollution, is a national benefit and environmental protection technology.
