Igneous Gold Ore Gravity Beneficiation Production Line Solution is designed for high-efficiency recovery of free gold from Rock/Vein Gold Ores.

This solution utilizes the density difference between gold and gangue. By employing a multi-stage process of Crushing - Grinding - Jigging - Shaking Table, it achieves extremely high recovery of coarse-grained gold with low investment and no chemical pollution.

What Is Rock Gold Gravity Separation?

Rock Gold Gravity Separation is a physical beneficiation method. Unlike chemical leaching (cyanidation), it uses water and gravity to separate heavy gold particles from lighter rock minerals (Quartz). It is the preferred method for "Free Milling Ores" where gold exists as visible grains, offering a green and low-cost alternative to flotation.

Rock Gold Gravity Process Steps

Step 1: Crushing (Size Reduction)

Goal: Crush raw rocks to -15mm for efficient grinding.

  • Coarse Crushing: Jaw Crusher handles large raw ore.
  • Fine Crushing: Cone Crusher or Fine Jaw Crusher reduces ore to -15mm.
  • Screening: Vibrating Screen ensures particle size control.

Gold Ore Crushing and Grinding

Step 2: Grinding & Classification (Liberation)

Goal: Fully dissociate gold particles from quartz veins.

  • Grinding: Ball Mill grinds the crushed ore. Steel balls impact the rock to release gold.
  • Classification: Spiral Classifier separates fine particles for processing and returns coarse sand for regrinding (Closed Circuit).

Step 3: Gravity Separation (Core Recovery)

The core stage uses multi-stage separation to recover gold of different sizes:

Roughing (Coarse Gold):
Use Jig Machine. It handles large volumes and recovers medium-to-coarse gold nuggets effectively.
Cleaning (High Grade):
Use Shaking Table. It precisely separates gold from other heavy minerals, producing a high-grade concentrate (1000-2000g/t).
Sweeping (Fine Gold):
Use Centrifugal Concentrator or Plate Chute to capture fine gold lost by Jigs.

Step 4: Concentrate Purification

  • Amalgamation: Use Amalgamation Barrel to extract free gold from the heavy mineral concentrate.
  • Smelting: The gold amalgam is retorted to recover mercury and produce crude gold ingots.

Success Stories & Data

Project: African Quartz Vein Gold Mine

We implemented a "Crushing -> Grinding -> Jigging + Shaking Table" process.

  • Recovery Rate: Significant increase over traditional sluice methods.
  • Concentrate Quality: Produced direct smelting grade concentrate.
  • Cost: Low operating cost due to gravity-only workflow.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q1: Is Gravity Separation suitable for all gold ores?

A: It is best for "Free Milling" ores where gold particles are coarse and liberated. For microscopic gold locked in sulfides ("Refractory Gold"), Flotation or Cyanidation is required.

Q2: What is the advantage of using a Jig?

A: Jigs have a large capacity and can recover coarse gold continuously. They act as an excellent "Rougher" to reduce the volume of material that needs to go to the more expensive Shaking Tables.

Q3: How much water does the plant need?

A: Gravity separation is water-intensive (approx. 2-3 tons of water per ton of ore). However, with our Tailings Thickener and water recycling system, up to 90% of the water can be reused.
